International TESOL Diploma (Completed the Certificate , completing the IELTS training) I am Australian, with an english and latvian background. My father learnt english to build a new life in australia, and my mother studied english literature and was a talented writer of toastmasters' speeches. I understand the challenges of a migrant studying english to start a life in an english speaking country, and know it can be achieved. My parents have inspired me to teach ESL english. I have lived in my father's country, Latvia, studied the language, worked with children there, and would love to return and teach english to latvian and european children and adults. My recent practicum with Koala Bear Education, China was a wonderful opportunity to teach a primary school aged student. I gained skills in teaching pre intermediate level english, and it helped my professional development. I would also value opportunities to teach students from Asia. Having been a music and piano teacher to individual primary aged students and adults, a solo and band pianist, and choir singer, my passion is to teach english through music and song. Song lyrics and poetry are a beautiful way to teach the english language.
