Lexis English Brisbane, is part of the Lexis Education Group, operating language schools in Byron Bay, Sydney, Maroochydore, Noosa, Perth City, Japan and Korea. Lexis English provides high quality language, vocational and teacher training programs to more than 12,000 drawn from in excess of 100 countries per year.
Lexis Brisbane Campus is seeking casual ELICOS teachers for immediate start, teaching morning classes.
Successful candidates must have:
- A Bachelors degree or higher
- A Certificate IV in TESOL
- Prior teaching to adults experience in Australia or overseas of any of the following:
General English, Cambridge FCE, CAE, IELTS, Teen Study Tours
- Professional and personable demeanour
- Ability to work autonomously
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Prepare for each class
- Maintain currency of knowledge in teaching area
- Report student problems to the academic team
- Manage students’ individual needs
- Attend professional development opportunities
Casual ESL teachers are paid under the relevant Modern Award between $58.00 and $75.92 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
The position is suitable for somebody who can teach at our beautiful campus in Brisbane. You should also be well organised, reliable, enthusiastic and have strong self-management skills.
