Union Institute of Language (UIL) (CRICOS Provider No: 02529F) is a TEQSA-registered and NEAS-accredited English language college dedicated to delivering exceptional English language education, study tours, and homestay experiences to international students from around the world.
With campuses located in Springfield, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, and Toowoomba, we are currently seeking expressions of interest from passionate and experienced educators for Casual and Permanent ELICOS Teacher positions across our Queensland campuses.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (any field) and a Certificate IV in TESOL.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience teaching English language programs.
- Experience delivering engaging online and face-to-face English classes.
- Strong skills in student management systems and educational databases.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Teams and online teaching technologies.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
Key Responsibilities
As a UIL ELICOS Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality English language classes to international students.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessment materials.
- Facilitate learning for both long-term pathway students and short-term study tour groups.
- Designing and producing teaching materials and adapting existing materials; and preparing course outlines and goals if required to facilitate program delivery.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records of student’s progress.
- Ensure student results are recorded with minimal delay between assessment, correction, recording and archiving.
- Monitor student progress and well-being, identifying and addressing learning challenges.
- Contribute to curriculum development and teaching resource creation if required.
- Liaise with academic, student services, and homestay teams to support student success.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and academic planning activities.

- Support students experiencing academic or learning difficulties.
- Ensure student attendance and punctuality is accurately recorded in accordance with institution policy.
- Closely monitor student progress and well-being informing academic manager as required.
- Apply student welfare and disciplinary procedures where required.
- Participate in student enrichment and cultural activities.
Salary
Salary is provided in accordance with the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020, with remuneration based on your qualifications, experience, and role level.
