Over the past 15 years, IH Brisbane – ALS has established itself as one of the best ELICOS centres in Brisbane, for both staff and students, and we are looking for teachers to join our daytime programme.

With a stable and supportive management team, you can focus on being with your students in the classroom.

Successful applicants will:

• have a bachelor’s degree (any field)
• have a Certificate IV in TESOL
• hold a valid Blue Card
• have prior experience teaching ELICOS
• be able to create a good learning environment, and teach using communicative approach
• be in Australia, and available to start

The class levels will be predominantly Pre-Intermediate and Intermediate, so recently qualified teachers are welcome to apply.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

• prepare for each class
• maintain currency of knowledge in teaching area
• recommend programme development to the academic team
• report student problems to the academic team
• manage students’ individual needs
• participate in professional development opportunities

The position is suitable for someone well-organised, reliable and enthusiastic, and with strong self-management skills.
