Berkeley House Language Center is currently seeking vibrant and skilled ESL instructors to join our talented team of teachers to instruct our online lessons and various face-to-face courses at our school and/or corporate locations throughout the Kanto area from April 2026 or earlier.

[General Schedule & Conditions]
SCHEDULE:
– 5 days a week (Monday to Friday is the standard but could be adjusted)
– Hours will depend on assignment between 8:00 and 21:00.
– Approx. 25 teaching hours/week.

LOCATION:
・Berkeley House Language Center, Ichigaya School.
*Our clients’ venues are mainly in Tokyo/Saitama/Kanagawa/Chiba area.
*Online lessons can be taught from the school or other places with a good internet connection.

DUTIES:
– Work duties include the following but not limited to:
– Teach at various locations: Corporations, JHS/SHS, vocational schools, private lessons at our Ichigaya campus, etc.
– Teach a wide range of English Lessons: General English, business English, Test Preparation
– Participate in all training programs (Onboarding & Workshop, IELTS/TOEFL training, etc.)
– Attend meetings when necessary.
– Assist the Educational Department in developing materials, etc.

STUDENTS/CLASSES:
Our students include corporate office workers, professionals, and full time students preparing for or attending university.

TRAINING:
10 – 20 hours of training will be provided.

REMUNERATION:
260,000 yen/month guaranteed throughout the year

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will be:
• A native speaker of English.
• A dedicated team worker.
• In possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• International TESOL Diploma
• Blue Card (Working With Children Check)
• Japanese language skills are not required, but a plus.
• Experience teaching online is also a plus.
