- Sessional teaching rate: $93.48 an hour
- Daily Sessional rate: $427.96

About the Role
As a Sessional ELICOS Teacher at Monash College, you will play a pivotal role in delivering transformative and engaging learning experience within our English Language curriculum. Reporting to the Program Leader, you will collaborate with fellow teachers in team-teaching and co-teaching environments, bringing innovation and best practice to the classroom to enhance student outcomes.
We are currently recruiting for the following intake periods:
- Intake 3B: 12 August – 14 October
- Intake 4A: 7 October – 13 December
- Intake 4B: 4 November – 24 January 2025
In this role, you will tailor your teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students, helping them build the English skills and confidence necessary for their transition to Monash University. You will continually innovate, evaluate, and adapt your methods, provide date-driven insights, and work collaboratively across the College to ensure the success of our students.
About you
- You will have an undergraduate degree and recognised TESOL teaching qualification (Certificate IV in TESOL).
- You have a profound understanding of English language principles and effective teaching methodologies tailored to your adult learners.
- You have proven experience and confidence utilising technology in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- You have demonstrated capability in creating innovative and engaging course materials.
- You are flexible and open to change, with the ability to adapt to new situations and embrace evolving educational practices.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to effectively interact with individuals, particularly in team-teaching, co-teaching and collaborative settings.
- You will have an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, with the ability to effectively navigate and interact in intercultural contexts.
