UNSW College Academic English Programs (AEP) have been delivering excellence in English language education for over 50 years and provide a range of Academic English direct entry pathways to UNSW via ELICOS, Foundation Studies and Diploma programs.
UNSW College is currently recruiting experienced Academic English teachers for our end of year Diploma and Foundation Studies intake.
Offers of employment can be on a casual basis, and you may be rostered up to 5 days per week on a variety of shifts.
Short term (fixed term) contracts are also available as part time or full-time options. We are currently recruiting for a number of ongoing teacher positions and successful casuals are eligible to apply internally for ongoing / permanent roles.
We are recruiting for our upcoming terms:
Term 8: 09 September- 11 October
Term 9: 14 October- 15 November
Term 10: 18 November- 20 December

What we are looking for:
- An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and a Certificate IV in TESOL
- Demonstrated ability and experience with at least three years of teaching across a range of Academic English courses and pathway programs
- Demonstrated experience with online, blended and/or hybrid teaching and learning
- Demonstrated ability to use a range of digital and collaborative tools to enhance student engagement and the achievement of learning outcomes in online and blended delivery environments
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and deliver teaching materials for online, blended and/or hybrid delivery in Academic English programs using a variety of online platforms
- Evidence of professional development activities undertaken in areas such as assessment and curriculum development, online and hybrid teaching
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Positive contribution to departmental culture and communities of practice
- Proven ability to contribute to an effective teaching team (high level communication and strong organisational skills, initiative)
- Intercultural competence
Desirable Criteria:
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative and creative curriculum content for Academic English programs
- Demonstrated ability to develop a variety of assessment tasks for various modes of delivery
- Experience coordinating Academic English programs
