EF Language abroad is seeking passionate, professional, and dedicated English Language Teachers to join our vibrant, multicultural community in the heart of Perth CBD. Be part of one of the largest private education groups in the world!
About the Opportunity
- Location: Perth CBD (EF International Language Campus)
- Students: International students in General English and Special Interest Classes.
- Contract: Casual contracts offering up to 20 contact teaching hours per week.
- Compensation: Salary is competitive and determined by the applicant’s qualifications, ESL/ELICOS experience, and subject to the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award.
Teaching schedule & start dates
- Shifts: Face-to-face classes, Monday to Friday, across two shifts:
- Morning Shift: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
**Note: Applicants must be available to teach a mix of morning and afternoon shifts across the week.
- Current Needs:
- Immediate relief teaching roles available now.
- Peak summer support from October 2025 until February 15th, 2026.
Essential ELICOS Qualification Requirements (NEAS compliant)
To meet the mandatory requirements for teaching in an ELICOS centre in Australia, applicants must hold the following:
- Academic qualification: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any major.
- Recognised TESOL qualification:
- Certificate IV in TESOL
- This qualification must include a minimum of 6 hours of supervised and observed practicum teaching with real students.
***Please note: Applicants without the embedded 6 observed teaching hours in their certification cannot be considered for this role.
- Required checks: Have or be willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) for WA.
- Documentation: Two recent professional references.
**Prior teaching experience is not essential, provided you meet the above qualification requirements.
